Ben Plays With a Toy

This image was taken over Memorial Day weekend May '97. The toy Ben is playing with is a little stuffed cow dangled from a plastic fishing pole. During this time Ben was receiving chemotherapy for lymphoma from Dr. Lisa Fulton at the Veterinary Referral Clinic in Gaithersburg, MD. She was quite active and looked good. However, at about this time we learned the ominous news that the cancer was beginning to resist the drugs.
