Buttercup and Monkey Toy

Buttercup sleeps with "Curious George", a stuffed monkey toy. This picture was taken March 1999 with Buttercup about 5 1/4 years old. This was shortly after she underwent her second adrenal surgery, in which most of a malignant right adrenal gland was removed.

When Buttercup finally succumbed in May 12, 2001 to a recurrance of this adrenal cancer she was lying beside this Curious George toy. That toy was buried with her.
