Jerry Being Hand Fed

Jerry, inside a red sweatshirt, is hand fed from a syringe. This image was taken October 1996, shortly after surgery to remove a cancerous adrenal gland and some pancreatic tumors.

From October 1996 to her death on February 15, 1997 Jerry would not eat on her own and required hand feeding. After eating a little bit her ritual was to climb up on my (Bill's) shoulder go inside my sweatshirt and hide in the sleeve. If, after letting her rest a bit, I felt that she should eat some more I would have to take off the sweatshirt and continue feeding her inside it.
